Sam's Club is hiring for Merchandise and Stocking Associate

As a Merchandise and Stocking Associate at Sam's Club, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the store is well-stocked and merchandise is displayed in an organized manner. This position involves working in various areas of the store to assist with stocking, replenishing, and organizing merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:

Stocking and Replenishment:

• Receive and unpack merchandise, ensuring proper placement on shelves and displays.
• Restock shelves and end-caps as needed to maintain product availability.
• Rotate stock to ensure older items are sold before newer items.

Merchandise Presentation:

• Ensure merchandise is presented in an attractive and organized manner.
• Follow store plans and visual merchandising guidelines for product placement.

Customer Service:

• Provide friendly and efficient service to members by answering questions and assisting with product selection.
• Help locate products and provide recommendations as needed.

Inventory Management:

• Assist with inventory counts and ensure that stock levels are accurate.
• Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to management.

Store Cleanliness and Safety:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the stockroom and sales floor.
• Follow safety procedures and report any hazards or safety concerns to management.

Additional Duties:

• Perform other duties as assigned by management, including assisting with special promotions or events.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous retail or stocking experience is a plus but not required.

Skills:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

• This position requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
