Job Summary of Checkout Clerk:

As a Checkout Clerk at Big 5, you'll: Be responsible for overseeing the front counter POS (register) terminal; Perform cash-handling and bagging of purchased merchandise; Greet customers, answer telephones, and stock shelves; Clean and maintain displayed merchandise on the sales floor; Be responsible for ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Responsibilities for Checkout Clerk:

• Perform purchase scanning and processing tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure the checkout area is neat and organized.
• Successfully process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges through the point of sale (POS) system in a precise manner.
• Collaboratively work with colleagues and superiors to achieve store revenue objectives.
• Guarantee a positive customer experience by warmly and professionally greeting all patrons.
